Joanna Dark was born on May 23th 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria in the family of professional musicians. She started playing drums at the age of six and also took piano lessons.
Her musical carreer started in 1997 as a vocal and host of the popular kids TV show “Bon–Bon”. Later, she was part of the teen show “Hello” (“Zdravey”) and host of the weekly music show “Melo TV Mania”. At the same time she was studying in the National music School “L. Pipkov”. Her carreer and education continued in the best possible way – she became a reporter of the TV show “Vischki pred ekrana” and a co-host of the 4-hours production “V nedelya s..”, both on the Bulgarian National Television. Besides, she studies drums and pop and jazz vocal in National Music Academy.
She also started her music carreer as a percusionist in Kalin Veliov’s “Drum Show”. Later she met Deep Zone and became a percussionist in the Deep Zone Big Band. In that time Deep Zone recorded singles with many different young and well-known bulgarian singers. Soon Joanna dark became a permanent vocal of the project. Her first recorded single was “DJ, Take Me Away” – a massive hit in Bulgaria, which also won the Bulgarian Eurovision Song Contest.
Joanna recently was voted “Top 10 Sexiest vocals for 2008” and received a “Woman of the Year” nomination.
Now Joanna Dark is ready with her debut solo single, called “I Can’t Breathe”.

Йоанна Дарк (Йоанна Драгнева) е родена на 23.05 - петък, в годината на тигъра по китайския хороскоп - 1986. Детството й всъщност стартира на международната музикална сцена – родителите й са музиканти, работещи в Европа, а Йоанна все още пази спомена си от северно сияние, което видяла, докато живеела в скандинавските страни.
През 2009 г. Йоанна Дарк продуцирана от Deep Zone Records издава и първия си самостоятелен сингъл – “I Can’t Breathe” / „Целувка За Сбогом”.
Заедно с колегите си от Deep Zone, Йоанна е имала редица клубни и концертни изяви в:
Англия (Лондон), Португалия (Лисабон), Турция (Истанбул), Украйна (Киев), Малта, Румъния (Букурещ), Гърция (Атина), Сърбия (Белград), Кипър и др.
